The Anna Freud is a charity dedicated to transforming the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. They bring together research, clinical practice and training to create the best possible support for families, schools, communities and professionals.
One of the things I absolutely love about the Anna Freud is their commitment to sharing knowledge widely and for FREE. Their website is packed with good quality resources which are all designed to make understanding and supporting children’s mental health that bit easier.
Their latest resource focuses on something many of us see every day: children and young people’s fears - Seven ways to support children and young people who are worried | Anna Freud
Clinicians at Anna Freud have developed seven ways to support children and young people (CYP) when they’re feeling fearful or anxious. These seven steps are considered best practice, and they’re rooted in a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) approach.
Keep up the great work, Anna Freud!
