Services
Personal Counselling
I am a Senior Accredited BACP counsellor who works with children and young people aged 4 to 19. My compassionate but insightful counselling provides clients with the encouragement to change and grow, increase their self-awareness and develop coping strategies to deal with dynamic or stressful situations. I deliver school-based counselling across Essex and bordering areas.
Online Counselling
I offer private counselling via Zoom. As well as permitting a high level of flexibility around school and/or further education timetables, the intimacy of online counselling allows sessions to be much more comfortable. Clients are more inclined to communicate freely when they are in a familiar and private setting, which aids the therapy process.
Speaking in Schools
I run interactive school assemblies and workshops based on topics surrounding mental wellbeing and emotional health. Central to my work is allowing students to realise ‘it's ok not to be ok'. The sessions provide a toolbox of positive coping skills, empowering students to realise their unique potential.
‘Be WISE when you REVISE’ Coaching Sessions
I deliver ‘Be WISE when you REVISE’ sessions. Whether your child is revising too much or hasn’t got started, I can help increase motivation, explore different revision techniques and build self-belief in a one-off ‘power-hour’ session. My goal is not only to help students pass their exams, but for their minds to be in a healthy place to do so.
The Flourish Project (Primary School - KS1 and KS2 workshops)
I offer a whole-class intervention called ‘The Flourish Project’ to pupils in KS1 and KS2. This encourages pupils to recognise their worries, manage difficulties and develop a more mindful awareness in their daily lives. Based at school for an entire day, I deliver tailor-made workshops for up to four separate classes. With each class I focus on mental and physical health, which includes peer-to-peer massage, stretches and mindfulness.
Mental Health Training
I deliver evidence-based mental wellbeing courses for professionals whose work involves supporting children and young people. These cover a wide variety of topics, ranging from those appropriate to newcomers to more specialist ones for experienced practitioners. Attendees learn strategies to support children and young people who may be struggling with poor mental wellbeing.
Staff Wellbeing Training
Because professionals in high-stress environments are more at risk of burnout, I also provide wellbeing training that addresses the need for a work life balance and offers ways that staff can improve their overall approach to work.
Whether delivered on an inset day, twilight session or online, I aim for my presentations to be professional, fun, and engaging.
Youth Mental Health First Aid Instruction
I am a qualified Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor, providing half, one or two-day MHFA training courses to schools and organisations. These give attendees the ability to identify the early warning signs of mental health issues, and the confidence to guide children and young people towards the professional help they need. The format is a mix of presentations, group discussions and group work activities.
Keynote Speaking
I am an experienced speaker, accustomed to sharing my knowledge and expertise in the field of children and young people’s mental health at a wide variety of events. My most recent engagement was at Google HQ, where I discuss the importance of children’s wellbeing.
Educational Consulting
I offer professional guidance to schools aiming to become a more mentally healthy. With my first-hand experience of working within the education sector, I truly understand that a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing is essential, and I provide guidelines on how to achieve this goal.
Parenting Workshops
As a mother, I understand the challenges of parenting. Whatever a child’s age, being a parent can sometimes feel stressful and/or overwhelming, and I provide insight into the mental wellbeing of the child that can prove a helpful coping tool. My workshops offer guidance for parents/carers of primary- and secondary-school children.
Online Educational Content
I write and produce educational content on YouTube and TikTok about the importance of mental wellbeing. My videos have reached an audience of over 100,000 on YouTube and used by hundreds of schools across the world. I also represent the UK YouTube Health Creators group at Google Headquarters, London.
