I’m feeling very grateful to have celebrated the 50th anniversary of The King's Trust at Buckingham Palace on Thursday 14th May.
It was so lovely to be surrounded by people who all care deeply about supporting children, young people and communities in different ways, including volunteering like I do as a Programme Delivery Volunteer.
The afternoon was filled with meeting new people, sharing conversations, celebrating with cake (which tasted just as good as you’d expect!), singing the National Anthem, and taking a moment to reflect on the huge impact The King’s Trust has had over the past 50 years.
I genuinely love my job and all its variations...From delivering training, supporting children directly, assessing schools as part of mentally healthy school awards, creating online content, and delivering school assemblies. It was such a special afternoon and one I’ll never forget.
