The INCREDIBLE Children’s Media Conference

My freelance work has been full-on and I've loved it! Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of attending The Children’s Media Conference in Sheffield for the very first time and what an experience it was!

I was blown away by the number of inspiring people I met: creators, thinkers, producers, writers, editors - all passionate professionals who care deeply about the same thing I do: supporting children’s mental health through the media. (I never realised just how many people are involved in creating children’s content - both behind the scenes and in front of the camera!)

A real highlight was being part of a panel that discussed hashtag#YouTube and business opportunities we've been given through having a channel. I sat alongside some truly brilliant voices - Myra Aslam, Silly School Education, Maddie Moate, Harriet Jones and Keighley Douglas . It was a privilege to share what matters most to us - creating meaningful content on YouTube that fosters wellbeing and connection for kids.

Huge thanks to Myra and Dr. Vishaal Virani, MBBS for the fantastic opportunity that is the YouTube Kids Launchpad... it’s been a major motivator in my journey.

Thank you Sheffield and thank you to everyone I met who made me feel so welcome. I left feeling inspired, energised and ready for what’s next.
