Even I get to have fun at our art lunchtime drop-in. But why are lunchtime drop-insso important in schools?

  • Students are often free at lunchtime, making it convenient for them to drop in for quick reassurance.
  • Lunchtime drop-ins can be less formal than a time with a member of the pastoral team or a counselling session, making them more approachable for students who may feel hesitant to seek help.
  • Offers immediate support for those students who need it.
  • Drop-ins provide opportunities for staff to connect with students on a more personal level.

So overall, drop-ins offer a convenient and effective way to support students' emotional wellbeing, and I love hosting our weekly art drop-in with my colleaugue, Rebecca Payne.
