Anti-Bullying Week 2024 will take place from Monday 11th - Friday 15th November, with the theme: Choose Respect. Odd Socks Day is taking place on Tuesday 12th November, with adults and children being encouraged to wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.

Respect is the foundation of all positive interactions. It’s about understanding, valuing, and appreciating each other, regardless of our differences.

Choosing respect means listening when others speak, valuing their opinions, and responding with kindness. In our communities, respect builds trust and unity. It turns strangers into neighbours and neighbours into friends. Respect isn’t just about big actions. It’s in the small, everyday choices we make. It’s in standing up against bullying behaviour, appreciating diverse cultures, and helping those in need. Too often we are silent when we see bullying taking place, silent about the hurt bullying behaviour causes and silent when we hear bullying behaviour being dismissed as ‘just banter’.
