One of the most fulfilling parts of my work is training secondary school students to become Peer Champions. Trained young leaders who support and inspire their peers.
Peer Champions aren’t just friendly faces; they’re trained to listen, guide, and be a trusted point of contact for students who might feel uneasy talking to a teacher. That peer-to-peer connection really makes a difference. Sometimes, students just need to talk to someone who truly understands.
Having student role models helps transform the school environment. It empowers young people to lead with kindness and shows that support doesn’t always have to come from teachers or staff—it can come from other trained students.
Peer Champions make schools safer, stronger, and more connected. I love delivering this training, and I always have so much fun doing it!
